This article is designed to facilitate passing through the mine shaft during the 4th day. Old paths near the camp play an important role in the story. Originally, you have to find Shurik in the mine shaft, but some routes have more unusual events here.

Since Everlasting Summer is the pretty simple game without complex gameplay issues you can explore this specific location without our hints. But if you don’t want to get lost just follow this guide and check the map below.

This map is a simplified example of the real mine shaft, but crossings and ways are true.

Map key

One of the players named Fad created the map on his own. Well, it’s not beautiful but it’s understandable for sure. However, map legend is a necessary feature to use any map. Here it is:

  • CR1 – CR13 – crossroads with different numbers.
  • S/CR1 – the starting location and the first crossroad.
  • H – the point with mining tools and ruined rails.
  • CF – the point with mining site and gems.
  • E – the final location which you must reach.

Note that H and CF points are important only for unlocking specific CGs. You can visit them during the first playthrough and ignore for the rest of the game. Thus, the main task here is to reach the final point marked as E. All significant events take place after leaving the mine.

Following instructions are designed to facilitate the map use. To start, imagine that you are at the point marked as S/CR1. It’s the first crossroad and if you choose to go left you will proceed to the point CR3. If you choose the opposite direction you will approach the point CR2. It’s quite easy for now. But don’t forget about directions. So, if you come to the point CR3 from S/CR1 then the way to H will be on your left and CR5 – on your right. However, if you approach the point CR3 from CR5 then the same directions will be reversed: H will be to your right and CR5 – to your left. Remember it as you easily can get lost.

Also, unique points have their own rules. Coming back to S/CR1 from CR3 or CR2 means you returned to the starting location. In this moment the system of the game’s mechanics faces you to the first crossroad again, so CR3 will be to your left and CR2 – to you right. The same thing happens upon arriving at CF. You are returning to CR13 and face away from CF. Thus, CR2 will be to your left and CR12 – to your right. Finally, coming to H from CR10 means you will be redirected to CR3 and another way around. We advise visiting CF and H only if you want to unlock CGs of these places. Otherwise, just proceed to the exit.

Get out of the mine shaft

Let’s reveal how to exit the described location from our start, S/CR1:

  1. Turn right and reach CR2.
  2. Turn right and reach CR13.
  3. Turn left and reach CR12.
  4. Turn right and reach CR11.
  5. Turn right and reach E.

The simpler algorithm is here: right-right-left-right-right. And the simplest one: RRLRR!

At last, there always is a risk to get lost. Frankly speaking, the game doesn’t allow players to reveal their exact position in the mine shaft. But don’t worry. Your goal now is to reach one of the unique points such as S/CR1, H, CF or E. For that randomly pick direction several times. There is also another strategy – to pick the same direction every time. However, this algorithm may bring you in an endless cycle. So we recommend choosing directions randomly.

Sooner or later you will come to the unique place:

  • E – it’s the end of the location, so congratulations!
  • S/CR1 – it’s the start where you will have only two ways. The main hero will note that he – or they if you are traveling with a girl – came back to the place where he – or they – begun. Just use the RRLRR rule to find the exit.
  • H – this point automatically redirects you to CR10 or CR3. To reveal where you are at the moment turn right after leaving the point H. If the protagonist talks about returning to the beginning, then you are at S/CR1. In either case, you are at CR7.
  • CF – this point is similar to S/CR1 as it always returns you to CR13. From this point, you only have to turn right 3 times to reach the final location. Of course, you can continue exploring and turn left to arrive at CR2.

Hope, you now understand how to escape from the mine shaft. It’s quite easy, especially with the wonderful map. Our thanks to Fad for his work!
