Games worth exploring in 2022

So the date has been bumped up another four years, and there are some new games on this list. [From here on is everything that should be copied verbatim.]

The following is a list of games (in no particular order) to look for in 2022:

Metroid Prime 4 for Nintendo Switch

As we all know, Metroid Prime 4 was announced at E3 2017 during the Nintendo Spotlight. We did not, however, get an extensive look into its gameplay or receive any release information. The trailer only showed Samus Aran wearing her Arm Cannon and helmet sans-visor with a male voiceover saying "What will you find" which implies that perhaps the protagonist will be male he is voiced by what sounds to be a generic adult male voice actor.

In any event, the trailer gave us only that much to work with and being that it will take place after Prime 3, we can assume a return of Rundas, Ghor and Gandrayda as well as many other Bounty Hunters from the series. I have reason to believe this game will take place before Fusion but after Corruption due to the entire Galactic Federation being dead by Samus' own hands so she could stop Phaazon from spreading across the galaxy as well as having possibly been involved in her betrayal at Olympus-Class Battleship Odyseey prior to its destruction. The next Metroid installment looks promising since it is now confirmed that Retro Studios is working on it along with Bandai Namco since the game is to be published by Nintendo.

Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC

Sword Art Online has made circles in the anime world bounding off of the highly successful series created by Reki Kawahara. The anime adapts volumes 1-4 while everything after that will not be considered canon so there are still many stories to tell through video game adaptations like an original story about Kirito's past which is what Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet will explore. Based on trailers, it looks like Kirito may have played the beta test of "Gun Gale Online" (GGO), a VRMMORPG where players fight with light firearms rather than melee weapons or magic like other Sword Art Online games like Hollow Realization or Lost Song.

Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet releases on February 8, 2018 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Monster Hunter World for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC.

Monster Hunter World is the newest installment in Capcom's long-running franchise which began through their partnership with Nintendo to release the game exclusively on Nintendo 3DS (Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate). The game features large open areas with non-linear paths as well as hub towns. In addition, the graphics have been given a massive upgrade from its previous installments while still maintaining their anime aesthetic. Players may also utilize stealth tactics from within bushes to launch surprise attacks on monsters so multiplayer parties will need to keep an eye out for one another else they may be chewing dirt (if that's a thing). The game also features procedurally generated areas that will make each experience feel unique.

Monster Hunter World releases on January 26, 2018 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One with the PC release planned sometime in Autumn 2018. Kingdom Hearts III for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One

Kingdom Hearts is one of Disney's flagship series which has been going strong since its first installation back in 2002. It features a slew of popular characters from Disney, Final Fantasy and other Square Enix properties while driving a narrative to bring them all together. Kingdom Hearts III continues this trend by including the biggest list of characters yet while adding new mechanics such as Attractions, Key Blades from Frozen and Pirates of the Caribbean among others while being beautiful in action just like previous games in the series.
