Impressions Games was well known for their historically based city building games, such as , , and , in addition to (a followup to the Lords of the Realm Series).

Gameplay

Lords of the Realm tasks players with battling against five opponents in medieval Europe to become the king of England or Germany. Players accomplish this task by building up their territories and economy, allowing them to build stronger and stronger armies.

While overworld gameplay was , actual battles were fought in an early format, where players could control individual units or groups.
