Forza Motorsport 7 is a racing game developed by Turn 10 Studios and published by Microsoft Studios for the Xbox One, Xbox One X, and Windows. It's the 10th title in the Forza franchise and will be released on October 3, 2017, while those who pre-ordered the 'Ultimate Edition' receive access on September 29, 2017.

There are over 700 cars included in the game with more to come via DLC, and 32 race track locations with alternate configurations. Dubai is the fictional feature track for Forza Motorsport 7. There have been no announcements regarding additional tracks, though in the previous Forza titles more tracks were made available through DLC. Multiplayer will feature 24 players per lobby.

A new addition to the series are a collection of racing suits to customize how your driver looks. They feature various car brands to some over the top novelty designs such as knights and ninjas. Progress is rewarded through a few different ways, but the most noticeable change is the crate system, or 'loot boxes'. These crates of varying in-game currency prices offer cars, suits, mods, and badges. Currently there is no option to pay real world money for the crates.

The game supports 'Xbox Play Anywhere' with the digital versions allowing players to continue their progress through the Xbox One or Windows. A single disc will work on both Xbox One and Xbox One X, with the One X requiring an update for additional content such as 4K textures.

Some features such as the Auction House, #Forzathon, and League events will remain unavailable at launch until a later update, likely at the launch of Xbox One X.

While this year's Forza has finally managed to include cars from Porsche at release, another notable omission from the list of cars was from the brand Toyota. All models excluding the racing cars and some special variants have been removed which were in the last Forza title, Forza Horizon 3. Reports from a Japanese newspaper claims that a Toyota exec blamed realistic videos games for the recent decline of automobile sales.

Forza Motorsport 7 features the Porsche 911 GT2 RS on the cover, a car they first announced at the E3 2017 Microsoft press conference along with news that Microsoft and Porsche had entered a 6-year licensing deal. Last year Porsche had ended their exclusive license rights to EA after 16 years.
