A teaser trailer titled "A Voyeur for September" was released by Team Meat in 2014 showing grainy footage of a garden and house. Two weeks later is was revealed during PAX that "A Voyeur for September" was an anagram of "Super Meat Boy Forever" and their new title would be heading to and . Development of the game then went quiet until Aug 2017, where Super Meat Boy Forever was finally re-announced as releasing on , , , , , and .

Gameplay

Super Meat Boy Forever is an auto-runner style game that allows the player to dash and attack. Controls are limited to two buttons and each level is "dynamically constructed" from a selection of pre-designed sections. Once a level has been completed the game increases it's difficulty by generating a slightly harder version of the level.

Players control either Meat Boy or Bandage Girl as they (automatically) run through various levels. The two button control scheme can be used to jump, punch, dive and slide.

Characters revealed so far are:

  • Meat Boy (Playable) - Protagonist from the original game.
  • Bandage Girl (Playable)- Meat Boy's love interest. Previously the "Damsel in Distress".
  • Nugget - Meat Boy and Bandage Girl's child. Female.
  • Dr. Fetus - Main antagonist of the Super Meat Boy series.

Story

The two main characters (Meat Boy and Bandage Girl) have had a child named Nugget. One day they are attacked by Dr. Fetus (the antagonist from ), who steals Nugget away from them. The game focuses around them traversing difficult levels in order to save Nugget.
