If you have played the masterpiece known as Titan Souls, you already know that it’s all about the bosses. Since there are no other enemies, these magnificent and powerful creatures are your main obstacles and opponents in this indie adventure/fighting game. The fights are all unique and every boss has different tricks up his/hers/its sleeve to punish you for lack of attention or mistakes. To this date, there are 20 Titans in Titan souls that we’ll list here, with a short description. Without further ado, let’s get down to business.

Boss list:

  • The Elder – (the First Soul) – this boss won’t fight you and you just need to line up a perfect shot to take him/her down. Climb up a staircase on the right side of the graveyard and you’ll have a shot at the Elder.
  • Obello – this is a giant bouncing mushroom with a red swollen tumor on its side. It bounces and upon landing, fires projectiles in 4 directions the first time and in 4 different the second time. The pattern is repeated and the projectile range is limited, so your best bet is to run away until you made some distance and then shoot the arrow.
  • Onyxia – This boss looks like a sea serpent mixed with a spiked dinosaur. You encounter it on the surface of water with a few ice islands to help you out. It surfaces and tries to damage you, but you can predict its attacks, because you see her floating under water.
  • Gol-hevel – this reminisces of the statues on the Easter Island. This boss can be found in a graveyard. Wake Gol-Hevel up and it starts attacking you. The attack is a few projectiles that after a distance, drift away from one another, so your best bet is to dash to the side after it attacks and shoot your arrow then, or you can shoot the arrow and get it behind it, then return the arrow to kill
  • Yeti – just like the name suggests, it’s a snowman with big horns and a terrible attitude. Wake it up and it just starts to plow huge snow balls right at the player. Well, that’s not so bad, right? Yes, up until you realize that it turns into a cannonball and launches right at you, smashing in to the nearest wall and dropping icicles on you. But his behind doe…
  • Gol-lath - a huge stone structure with two plummeting and all destroying fists. Gol-lath alternates between the two to launch an attack. These fists fly all over the arena so watch out, it tends to alternate between them every once in a while, but not in any helpful pattern. Keep a longer distance and aim at the red crystal looking thing as it is its weak spot.
  • Sludge Heart – This is a weird one. It’s a heart, covered with sludge. You need to pierce the heart and in order to do so, you need to remove the sludge shield. This requires a few hits to the sludge that covers the heart. Keep in mind that the sludge bounces independently and once you hit it, you cut it in half. Try to minimize unnecessary shots.
  • Eyecube – this cube only moves laterally and medially towards you. It’s a cube with an eye on one of its sides. The eye shoots a laser after moving 4 spaces. The laser beam is shot in the direction of the eye, to maximize your chances of success, wait for it to jump in the air and shooting to the ground (Eyecube does so after the eye faces down on the 5’th movement).
  • Vinethesis – a huge and deadly poisonous and carnivorous plant that surround almost the entire battle area and is deadly and dangerous. Avoid its poisonous projectiles and the large long vines. Other than that, it’s relatively easy to beat.
  • Gol-qayin – hard rocking and heavy metal weapon using boss – Gol-qayin is one of the most badass and fun bosses to face in Titan Souls. It propels itself to one of the bludgeons that it throws towards the player. There are also volcanic streams of lava that can badly damage you, so mobility is pretty much the biggest key in defeating Gol-qayin. Roll to where his mace/bludgeon will land and he will spin around, making himself (or itself) vulnerable to your attacks.
  • Brainfreeze – similar to Sludge heart, this boss keeps the theme in Titan Souls of bosses being organs, protected by some sort of shield. To beat Brainfreeze, you need to fire an arrow through the fire that appears in the center of the arena if you stand on one of the four buttons (that are located on the North, South, East and West sides). Press the button, see the flame, shoot the arrow through the flame, extinguish the ice shield and shoot the brain down once again.
  • Knight Elhanan – this knight has an arrow, just like you, and the battle with him can only be triggered after hitting the arrow. Elhanan’s arrow emits an electric shock that can stun both Elhanan and you. He first tries to melee you, but later on attacks with ranged attacks. He has three normal arrows and a soul arrow that he shoots alternately. Stun Elhanan, remove his armor then shoot him again without the armor. To stun him, hit his arrow.
  • Avarice – golden showers… Literally. Avarice is a chest that bounces around and spits gold. It isn’t very quick, fast or mobile, so you can pretty much move around it and defeat it with a few rolls and a quick shot.
  • Gol-Set – a clear example of looks-can be deceiving. The music and the atmosphere + Gol-Set looks, make you think that this monstrosity can be one of the hardest things to face in Titan Souls, but he’s actually very easy to beat once you nail the techniques. Its fists move and try to crush you and he also shoots a laser so he’s twice the danger… Right? Wrong. You need to locate the two buttons on the sides of the arena, make Gol-Set plant his fists there, once that’s done his next move is clear – three fists attacks, alternating fists, nothing else. After the second punch, there’s an opening – use it!
  • Mol-Qayin – to beat it, you need to hit the arrow in its mouth, once it’s open. If you pull the arrow, it will pull Mol-Qayin with it, so you need some sort of trickery. The trick is to pull Mol-Quayin on to his explosive sphere that it spits out. It explodes, but can regenerate quickly, you need (in the meantime while Mol-Quayin is in shambles) to hit the crystal that is left behind. This way, you will defeat it.
  • Rol-qayin – this boss of Titan Souls tries to roll you over and set you on fire while hard rock plays. The achievement “COME AT ME BRO” can be gained if you kill it in under 5 seconds. It rolls towards you, leaving a blazing trail and after hitting a wall it stops and turns around. During this time you have a perfect gap to position yourself for an attack.
  • Stratus – a light, wintery, Christmas styled tune will announce your doom if you’re not paying enough attention to Stratus. Shoot the pedestal in the arena, to make Stratus appear. It emerges to blow gushes of wind, after which it is at the most vulnerable positions and you can strike.

Final bosses of Titan Souls

The Soul

The final boss of the game, The Soul is the image of the Titan soul. It moves quickly and only stops to shoot, by also using a soul arrow, just like you. Beware and wait for the perfect opportunity to strike and defeat the Soul to successfully complete Titan Souls.

But is this the end?

OF COURSE NOT!!! There are secret bosses, like the Black Vinethesis, which can only be unlocked in the  HARD MODE and Eye Cube 2 which can only be reached after returning from defeating the final secret boss…

The Truth

This is the true secret and final boss of Titan Souls that you have to beat in order to consider yourself a true champion. The ending after beating it is very mystical and worth your while, so put aside all other things and go after it. This boss is unlike any others and first of all, your environment is now white instead of the vivid and realistic terrain. It changes shapes, forms and attacks so you have to be sharp. First of all it spins rapidly and form rings to try to run you over. Target its purple core to hit it (use the northern wall). Phase two expands the battleground and the Truth will try to close you in and shed water drop shape enemies at you. Phase three is the final stage that you have to overrun and defeat to neutralize the Truth and see the ending… Congratulations, you’ve beaten Titan Souls!

But what exactly happens? Have any ideas or theories? Share them with us, we’d love to know!
