Secrets

Gone Home is filled with little secrets, things to explore and find. One of these things is a locker/safe that can be found in the mansion’s basement. To open, you need the combination for the safe and obtaining it is a fun challenge.

The numbers

To find the safe combination in-game you need to be aware and focused. The note where Oscar wrote down the combination can be found in the mansion, but where? Gone Home doesn’t seem to give you anything easily. Luckily, gamespedition is right here to help you out.

The combination is 1963.

The meaning and means

This number can be found out as the combination in various ways. Kennedy’s assassination mentioned lots of times, happened in 1963, there is a pharmacy note or a receipt on the floor when you walk up from the cellar to Katie’s room. There is also a way to find the safe’s combination on the right side wall you can find height and tallness marks. The top one should have a hint for you.

In the basement’s safe, Gone Home players will find a very personal note from Oscar to his sister, Oscar’s medical supplies and some evidence that he abused Terrence, who is his nephew and the father of Sam and Kate.

Overcoming this challenge isn’t a must-do in order to finish the game, but it’s nonetheless very fun.
