As a point and click game there is really no other way to beat it other than to be lucky or understand the game’s mechanics. The latter can be done by watching someone else play or reading the walkthrough if you want to beat the game easier or just become stuck in a certain part.

The Chapters

Gods Will Be Watching is divided in to 7 chapters, we’ll give you the entire walkthrough chapter by chapter and highlight the most important features and aspects of each chapter. Let’s begin!

  • Chapter 1: Hostage actions. The three different aspects of this chapter need to be mastered in order to progress. The Police, Hacking and Hostages. The Police can be delayed with negotiations, but they can move closer very quickly. Hacking is relatively easy to do and understand. In this chapter, focus hacking on shield strength to buy more time. Hostages don’t like shooting and you can also trade them for various props and bonuses. Just playing this multiple times is a great way to beat it because this actually is one of the hardest parts of this game.
  • Chapter 2: Torture. While some might think that skill helps here, forget about it, this relies on luck more than anything else. This lasts for days (Nine, to be exact) so just be patient with your torturing. You have tools for torture: Fists, Teeth, The Wall, The Gun, The Axe, fire and the Hammer. Fists,Hammer,Teeth,Flame,Wall,Gun: this patterns or some variation of it is best. When the axe comes about, lie if you can and confess if there’s no other way.
  • Chapter 3: The cave – one of the easiest parts in the game. Have some paper or your phone ready for notes. Just like in Chapter 2, prepare yourself for some possible failures. The robot needs to be focused on the battery. Sarah and the Doctor should pump antidotes and get the percentage to about 20. Donald is the perfect subject and between getting results you should focus on adrenaline and sedative. Robot is your stats guy so keep a close attention and your information will be the guide on what to act on and what to do next.
  • Chapter 4: Resource gathering. Fire, Spears, Meat, Night Activity, Speeches, Balance – in that order. Chapter 5 is what you need to prepare for as the next chapter might provide some difficulty. You can ease it up and kill pretty much everyone apart from Jack, and the robot along with the dog. Going on a killing spree. Marvin’s morale is tied with Jack’s, so try not to let him die…
  • Chapter 5: If you thought other chapters require luck and trial and error, Chapter 5 is the most notorious and hated in the whole game. Without any further beating around the bush, let’s get to it. Don’t kill Abraham, you’ll find a shelter. Abraham dies and you get your water, use Burden to share the water and now you’ll move faster. Everything is quite dangerous here so look into a spot before moving there. This is a huge possibility to screw up, so play safe and head straight to the base. Check signal every time possible to see if you’re getting closer, 20-30 hours late is no big deal, so don’t worry.
  • Chapter 6: Apart from the Epilogue, this is the final chapter and well worthy of a title: Finale. You need to beat the rebellion, persuade or shoot in the air. The guy on the floor is the weak link, kick him to make him a puppet. Next up, Claire, but don’t kill the child with her morale low as she becomes unbearable during the rest of the game. Her husband is also tied to her. This chapter is going to test out your creativity and your ingenuity on this game. Open the medusa virus if you have reserved oxygen.
  • Epilogue: Battle between Liam and Burden. Push him off the stage twice to win the battle.
