Developed by Argonaut Games and published in 1987, Starglider II was one of the first space combat games to feature seamless travel from planets to space. The Atari ST version was especially notorious, because it was 's first showcase for a technique that allowed the ST sound chip to play samples, something it had never been intended to do.
