Overview
Written by Paul Curtis and published in 1984 for the ZX Spectrum by this horizontal scrolling shoot'em up is very similar to . For voice sounds Currah MicroSpeech is applied, which is a speech synthesis box using the SP0256-AL2 speech processor to output sound via the TV.
Starbike was also released on many compilations like the "All-Stars" or the "Classix 1" compilation, both published by The Edge. It also appeared in 1985 on the "Soft Aid" compilation which was produced by in collaboration with Bob Geldof's Band-Aid Trust as one of the efforts to raise money for the starving children of Africa.
In 2009 a Starbike remake was written for PC's by Dr. Bacon and can be free downloaded on the developers .
