Gameplay
Paladins is a team focused online first-person shooter. Teams are filled with unique characters with their own abilities, weapons, and traits.
Champions
The characters in Paladins are called Champions. There are four different styles of Champions. The four types are front line, damage, flank, and support.
Each Champion has four unique skills associated with their weaponry. The main skills operate on a cool down and can only be used again once that countdown timer reached zero. Each character also has an ultimate skill that can only be used once a meter has reached 100%. This meter fills slowly on its own and by doing damage to enemies. Once the ultimate has been used the meter resets to 0%.
Front Line champions
Front line Champions are meant to both protect their team mates and hold the line. The front line Champions gain an additional 100% credits for standing near an objective.

Barricade - Deploys a barricade that provides cover from the front. The barricade lasts for 4 seconds or 5000 damage
Blunderbuss - A shorter range shotgun that shoots 13 pellets that do 500 damage each
Turret - A deployable turret that does 150 damage and will stay until it is destroyed. 2 Turrets can be placed at the same time.
Rocket Boots - A forward boosting rocket charge. The charge lasts for 1 second.
Dome Shield - Barik's ultimate will deploy a dome shield that will last for 6 seconds. The shield contains a flame thrower and has 20,000 hit points.
Fernando

Flame Lance - A flamethrower with a short range that will deal 30 damage on each hit.
Shield - The shield will block a total of 8,000 damage.
Fireball - A projectile ball of fire that will deal 450 damage and will reduce the healing of the hit player by 50% for 3 seconds.
Charge - A forward dash move that will damage players in the path for 200 damage.
Immortal - Fernando's ultimate ability will grant all team mates within 70 units the ability to not go below 1500 hit points or be damaged by damage over time attacks for 4 seconds.
Inara

Stone Spear - A set of three projectiles will launch doing 225 damage each over .4 seconds.
Earthen Guard - Inara will encase herself in a defensive stone that reduces damage to her and her deployables by 30%
Impasse - A stone wall will rise from the ground which will last for 5 seconds.
Warder's Field - A stone obelisk will rise from the ground that will slow enemies in the area by 60% and deals 150 damage per second.
Seismic Crash - Inara's ultimate involves Inara throwing a a spear. Any enemies in the path of the spear will be damaged for 500, goes through shields, and will stun enemies within 40 units.
Makoa

Cannon - A cannon ball launcher that does 650 damage.
Dredge Anchor - Throws an anchor at an enemy which when hit will reel them in towards Makoa.
Shell Shield - Projects a shield around Makoa that will block enemy fire for 4 seconds.
Shell Spin - Makoa will retreat into his shell and do a spin attack that will knock back any enemies hit.
Ancient Rage - Makoa's ultimate has him swinging his anchor and shooting cannon balls which does 650 damage per hit. Makoa will also increase his health by 5000. The attack lasts 8 seconds.
Ruckus

Skills
Miniguns - Quick firing miniguns that will deal 53 damage per hit at medium range. The rate of fire increases the longer the button is held.
Emitter - The emitter projects a shield that will block up to 3,000 damage. The shield will slow nearby enemies by 10%.
Repulsor Field - All team mates nearby will take a 30% reduction in damage for 3 seconds.
Advance - A quick forward moving speed boost.
Hexa Fire - Ruckus' ultimate will have him pulling out an additional two miniguns that deal 120 damage per hit. Two rocket launchers also appear doing 250 damage per hit.

Gauntlet - An energy beam that will lock on to enemies doing 50 damage per hit.
Recharge - Will recharge 850 shield energy per second for up to 2.5 seconds. Using recharge on an enemy shield will drain 2000 shield energy per hit.
Protection - Will project a shield on to an individual team mate that has 2000 hit points.
Runic Blast - A short range attack that will disarm and silence an enemy for 1.5 seconds.
Hyper Beam - Torvald's ultimate shoots a massive beam that will knock back all enemies for 2.35 seconds.
Damage Champions
Damage champions are champions that are meant to deal high damage amounts to enemy players. Damage champions gain 100% more credits when causing damage to enemies.

Skills
Sticky Bomb - Sticky bombs can be thrown (up to six at a time). They do 900 damage.
Detonate - Detonate blows up all active sticky bombs.
Grumpy Bomb - A large bomb that can be thrown which will get more angry over 3 seconds. When it explodes it does 800 damage.
Poppy Bomb - A bomb that can be stuck to any surface and detonated, dealing knockback to enemies within range.
King Bomb - Bomb King's ultimate has him rolling into a giant bomb that when detonated deals 2500 damage to players near it. This will also stun enemies and ignores shields.

Crossbow - Shoot arrows at players which deals 650 direct damage.
Disengage - Disengage shoots an arrow that knocks players back and deals 200 direct damage.
Blast Shot - Fires an explosive arrow that will deal 450 area damage and will reduce healing by 50% for 3 seconds.
Dodge Roll - A dodge move that has Cassie rolling in the direction currently moving in.
Scout - Cassie's ultimate sends her bird into the air which then reveals the enemy team locations.
Drogoz

Skills
Rocket Launcher - Shoots a rocket that deals 850 damage.
Fire Spit - Shoots a flaming spit ball that deals 150 damage. The hit enemy will also be dealt 30% more damage for 4 seconds.
Salvo - Salvo will load multiple rockets into the rocket launcher. When shot, these will cause a larger explosion and deal 250 damage per shot. This attack deals 200% more damage to shielded enemies.
Thrust - Causes Drogoz to jump high into the air. The jump button can be held in order to hover in the air for a short period of time.
Dragon Punch - Drogoz' ultimate attack will have him power up his thrusters and charge at the enemies. This causes up to 100% of the enemies health.
Kinessa

Sniper Rifle - The sniper rifle shoots as a carbine weapon when not scoped and deals 150 damage per shot.
Sniper Mode - Zooms the sniper rifle in and charges up a more powerful shot. When fully charged does 1,000 damage.
Oppressor Mine - Up to 2 mines can be placed at a time. When enemy players get in close range the mines will do 4 damage every .2 seconds. Enemies will also slow enemies by 30%.
Transporter - The transporter is thrown down and will automatically teleport Kinessa after a small amount of time.
Headhunter - Kinessa's ultimate allows her to have unlimited sniper ammo and does 50% increased damage on the upper half of enemies for 5 seconds.
Sha Lin

Long Bow - Shoots an arrow that can be pulled back to charge. When fully charged an arrow will do 1,000 damage.
Impaler Arrow - Uses a special arrow that will knock enemies back. If they get knocked back into a wall it will also stun them for 1 second.
Planted - Causes Sha Lin to become stationary for 3 seconds. While stationary, Sha Lin will draw the arrow back 200% faster and can continuously fire.
Withdraw - Sha Lin will jump backwards, leaving a ghost version in the spot where used and can run away.
Heat Haze - Sha Lin's ultimate will enter him into stealth mode and will gain 30% more movement speed for 8 seconds. Sha Lin will also draw back arrows 50% faster and leave ghosts behind every 2 seconds when firing.
Tyra

Auto Rifle - An automatic rifle that does 120 damage per shot.
Nade Launcher - A grenade launcher that deals 700 damage per shot within a small area.
Fire Bomb - Throws a fire grenade that leaves a small area of fire for 6 seconds. If enemies come in contact with the fire it deals 9% of their maximum health over .6 seconds.
Hunter's Mark - Marks enemies for 6 seconds for all allies. The marked enemy takes 15% more damage from basic attacks.
Crossfire - Tyra's ultimate gives her 40% more attack and movement speed for 4.5 seconds. She also gains unlimited ammo for the time period.
Viktor

Skills
Assault Rifle - Fires an assault rifle that does 130 damage per hit.
Iron Sights - Aims down the sights of the assault rifle gaining accuracy but lowering movement speed.
Frag Grenade - A thrown grenade that deals 750 damage.
Hustle - Allows Viktor to sprint, gaining 65% movement speed. Viktor can not fire while sprinting.
Barrage - Viktor's ultimate has him bring up a pair of targeting binoculars that will allow him to mark enemies. These marked enemies will have artillery shells come down from the sky, dealing 1400 damage.
