In this first-person shooter you can select one of four survivors to play as. The remaining survivors will assist you in the game as AI controlled bots. As common for survivor games, in L4D you have to fight versus zombie-like infected humans. Gameplay is heavily based on cooperation with other survivors. Survivors can communicate by voice commands. Each of the survivors has over a thousand of voice commands. The game has 5 different campaigns that are set in various urban and rural areas.
