Overview

H1Z1 (formerly known as H1Z1: King of the Kill, not to be confused with the game now known as ) is a multiplayer shooter developed and published digitally by for the (via as an title) on February 18, 2016.

Based on the of the same name for and , H1Z1 puts a very large group of players (upwards to 150 players) in a match where they parachute down on a large uninhabited island. Whether or not this mode is played in teams, players must scavenge weapons, armor, and other items and with and a contracting "safe zone" (in which areas outside of it are filled with a that slowly kill players).

It was of the "Battle Royale" mode of the 2015 MMO survival-horror shooter (known then as "H1Z1") and was originally billed as two games in the same series. It received its last name change on October 14, 2017.
