Gameplay

In Case of Emergency, Release Raptor is a 3D action game that puts the player in control of a velociraptor sent to battle against the forces of a robot uprising. The raptor can run, jump, and wall jump, as well as perform various attacks such as bite, pounce, kick, and tail whip (which can also be used to deflect enemy projectiles). These attacks are needed in order to defeat the various robot enemies throughout the game that will assault the player with projectile weaponry. Currently, the game is in pre-early access and consists of two levels, the Laboratory and the Industrial area. These are hand-designed static levels, but in the future the game is going to use procedural generation in the creation of its stages.

Two play modes are planned: Power Trip and Brutal mode. In Power Trip mode, no damage is taken and it is not possible to die, but it is meant to allow for speed running gameplay. In Brutal mode it is possible to take damage and die. The pre-early access build does not currently have these modes, but it does have Demo mode, in which the goal is to complete the stages taking as few hits as possible.
