The gameplay of Deus Ex: Human Revolution includes not only fights and social interactions. Adam Jensen with his modern implants and trained skills are a professional hacker. He can open protected safes and terminals as well as locked doors. Hacking process in the game is a separate minigame where you have to capture certain points and don’t alert securities. It’s pretty fun and challenging and it also grants you an additional experience and supplies.
But if you want to complete the game faster you can use codes and passwords. These combinations allow you to unlock a door or terminal without hacking. You can find codes and passwords in secret places, e-mails, and even dialogues. Once you have found a code it will be displayed on the screen near related terminal or panel. Just type it on the keyboard.
Note that you can use all codes and passwords in the game even if you didn’t find them there. Means you could use our guide and insert combinations from it manually. Remember also that you will not receive any experience points for codes. Hacking will provide additional ones, however, also will take more time to perform. Choose wisely what you need more!

Keycodes
Keycodes are combinations which you can use to unlock doors, disable lasers and access some security panels. These codes can be found on pocket secretaries which are a common type of objects in the world of future. Guards and other hostiles carry pocket secretaries often as well as allies and neutral NPCs do. Keycodes also can be found on computers, but you should hack most of them at first. You can also find out these codes via dialogues with enabled C.A.S.I.E. implant. But this last feature is quite rare.
Keycodes grant you access to several types of keypads. Mostly you will face security panels and laser grid panels. You also will use safe panels and safes itself. Sometimes you can discover codes for doors, storages and bomb panels. Keep in mind that using of keycodes will not be awarded with experience.

Passwords
Passwords have a very similar to keycodes operating principle. You have to type these combinations on keyboards of computers to access them. Passwords are exactly what you use to access your own computer. Numbers and digits relate to certain usernames and you can access terminals only with the right pair of username and password. You don’t have to reveal names as they are already inserted into certain computers. But you need correct passwords which are found on secretaries, e-mails, and dialogues as well.
Additional experience for passwords is also not provided. You can view our list and even save it to speed up the gameplay. But don’t use passwords or keycodes if you need some points of experience or items. Yes, terminals contain money, soft and other useful objects in different nodes. You can unlock it during hacking process.
