Overview

Entropia Universe is a first person/third person MMORPG notable for its real cash economy system. Players can deposit $1 USD for 10 PED (the in game currency, also known as Project Entropia Dollar) as well as withdraw PED for real money. Starting with one planet, Calypso, the Entropia Universe has added the planets Rocktropia (stylized as "ROCKtropia"), Arkadia, Next Island, Cyrene, Toulan, the moon Monria, the asteroid F.O.M.A. Fortuna (formerly known as Club NEVERDIE), and the space station Crystal Palace.

The universe has had a number of notably high cost transactions including a , , , , among many other transactions of varying price.

Starting out with one planet, science-fiction based "Calypso", the Entropia Universe platform has been expanded several times to accommodate different planets with varying genres. "ROCKtropia," as the name suggests, is a planet based on many aspects of Rock N Roll; with different mobs to hunt named after Rock legends such as Lemmy, Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison and more. "Arkadia" is a treasure-hunting themed planet; bringing with it new raids, an entirely new way to mine, and the option to join one of two warring factions: the Smugglers, or the IFN. "Next Island" is a paradise-themed planet. "Toulan" is an Arabian-themed planet, as imagined up by the Beladcom Studios in Jordan. "Monria" delves into the Cthulhu mythos as a horror-themed moon, a natural satellite of Planet Claypso. "F.O.M.A. Fortuna," formerly Club NEVERDIE, is a massive asteroid with a multitude of clubs, biodomes filled with creatures to hunt and minerals to mine. "Crystal Palace", often stylized as CP, is an artificial space station crawling with aliens. "Cyrene" is a military-themed planet.
