Far Cry‘s large and open world creates a huge need for transportation. It plays a large role in the game’s story and the way you travel heavily affects your progress and the fun that you’re having. There are 16 vehicles in the world of Kyrat, this includes vehicles + bikes + flying machines and a wingsuit. We’ll try to go over them with a bit of detail. Enjoy!

  • Buzzer – look at our buzzer article, right here at gamespedition to find everything about this flying thingy.
  • Cargo Truck – it’s a large truck with a cargo storage space. It seems based on the Soviet Zil or Gaz 53 and is relatively fast compared to its size. The main purpose of the Cargo Truck is to penetrate enemy territory and protect you from damage as it is extremely heavily reinforced and can withstand a lot of damage.
  • Darrah – an average vehicle that is featured in both FC3 and FC4. It’s a bit redesigned from the 3rd installment and is usually found near roads and towns. It’s outperformed in the hilly terrain of Kyrat by the jeeps or the trucks, so it has the use of just moving you from point A to point B.
  • Hang Glider – a returning vehicles that help you glide and are especially useful when trying to move downwards from a higher place. In some places you can glide upwinds to increase the glided distance.
  • Helicopter – no explanation needed here. Sadly enough it cannot be piloted by Ajay, only the Royal Army uses them. Destroying them can easily be done with a rocket or a grenade launcher, otherwise you might have some trouble.
  • Hovercraft – the only vehicle that travels on both water and land. It can be seen near intersections and water, but remains one of the rarest vehicles in the game. Don’t leave it in water upon exiting because it starts sinking. After completing the game, you might never see the Hovercraft again. Don’t ask why. We don’t know.
  • Jet ski – it was one of the most fun vehicles in FC 3 and now it has returned. Extremely fast yet not very durable, the Jet Ski should be your go-to vehicle if you want to get fast somewhere in water.
  • Parachute – no explanation needed again. It’s used to avoid damaging landings and can be used to glide longer distances.
  • Patrol Boat – one of the more deadly vehicles in game. It’s fast, quite heavily equipped and has a machine gun. If you want to look for relics in FC4, gamespedition recommends this boat as you can take out water predators with it.
  • Quad bike – small, maneuverable, fun to drive and with huge off road capabilities – what can be more fun? We’ll leave it for you to find out.
  • RHIB – A large motorized boat which is usually used by the army and can hold two people, a driver and a shooter so if you encounter them – try to stay safe.
  • Scavenger – an updated jeep from FC3. Scavengers come equipped with mounted guns so you can call up rebels and go invade an outpost or try something cool to damage the Pagan Min’s crew.
  • Stryus – just like the Darrah - it’s average. Nothing really special, other than its quite quick acceleration that offers a good possibility to run away from someone chasing you.
  • Technical – Pickup trucks mostly recognized by their usage of the Golden path. With some armor protecting the gunner they are one of the best vehicles that you can take to eliminate an enemy outpost.
  • Tuk Tuk – a signature vehicle for this region. It is native to the India/Himalaya region and is very well adapted to the narrow streets and roads of the lands.
  • Wingsuit – Ajay can purchase it after completing the first act of the story. You can jump off a large cliff and move large distances and enjoy the scenery while you’re at it.

Hope you enjoyed our list of vehicles and this hasn’t been too long. Contact us if you have any suggestions and… Stay expeditionary with gamespedition.
