The Long Dark stands out with its unique artstyle that makes the game really appealing and beautiful. There is a lot of good-looking sceneries in The Long Dark and that makes the game a really beautiful (and cold) journey. There are quite a lot of places for you to find in the game, some more beautiful and useful than the rest, while others do a lot to create the lonely atmosphere that is so typical for The Long Dark. Here is a list of ten places in The Long Dark for you to visit if you haven’t done so already.

  • Trapper’s Cabin is the place to survive. However it’s location is not very convenient for a long stay.
  • The Riken. It’s a shipwreck, an exciting finding.
  • Misanthrope’s Homestead is an interesting addition to the game’s environment, creating a very atmospheric feeling.
  • Point of Disagreement. The car crash location and corpses show you the untold story of several people who obviously had a disagreement, that now is a mystery.
  • Carter Dam is a useful place, creepy as hell, but important strategic point.
  • Stone Church does a good job in creating the atmosphere. After finding the Stone Church you somehow feel more alone and abandoned than ever.
  • Pleasant Valley Farmhouse hides a ton of supplies and equipment.
  • The Train Crash is just weirdly beautiful to look at, and the scenery around is amazing.
  • Forestry Lookout provides you with the beautiful views of The Long Dark.
  • Timberwolf Mountain Summit provides you with awesome views and supplies if you know where to look for them (and assuming you won’t die while trying to summit).

The Long Dark is a beautiful and atmospheric experience, make sure that you find the locations that make it even more so. You will find more detailed information about each of these places alongside with instructions how to find them in the video.
