Deus Ex: Human Revolution Cheats

If you feel that the game is very hard or you just cannot beat a certain mission we suggest unlocking the console and using codes. Deus Ex: Human Revolution lets you increase health, become invisible and invulnerable, increase credits and experience and so on. You can enter cheats right during the game or use trainers to boost Adam Jensen with the click of a button.

Developers also left some secrets and special glitches to make the game easier. Some unwanted bugs were fixed with patches, but you can still use other ones. In this guide, we will describe all in-game cheats and ways to unlock them as well as trainers. At the last paragraph, you can read about secrets both removed and remained.

Cheats

Before you can use cheats you have to unlock this possibility. Proceed to the main folder and find folder «system» there. You are looking for the file named «user.ini». Open it with any text editor and allow edits. Then find all lines which include a combination «t=». It is a binding button «T» on your keyboard. Lines may be empty or completed, but you have to delete all symbols after the equal sign. Do it and type «talk» instead so you will get a combination like this: «t=talk». Be sure to replace every binding of «T» here.

Now you should open the game. Press «T» then and you will see a word «Say» at the top. Remove it and insert instead «set DeusEx.JCDentonMale bCheatsEnabled True» without quotation marks. Voila! You have enabled cheats and can use them freely. Without this preparation, the game just will not recognize cheats.

Finally, meet the list of cheats! To use them just tap «T» in the game, delete all text appeared and insert a desirable word:

• allammo – increases an ammo of selected weapon to the maximum;
• allaugs – unlocks all basic implants without upgrades;
• allcredits – grants you 10000 credits;
• allenergy – restores your energy to the maximum;
• allhealth – restores your health to the maximum;
• allimages – unlocks all available pictures;
• allskillpoints – grants you all potentially available points for skills;
• allweapons – grants you all possible riffles and another weapon;
• behindview – enables a first-person view with 1 and disables it with 0;
• god – enables a god-mode;
• fly – enables a fly-mode;
• iamwarren – activates your EMP shield;
• invisible – makes you totally invisible;
• opensesame – opens a chosen door;
• summon X – adds a X item to your inventory;
• spawnmass X # – adds a # units of X item to your inventory;
• tantalus – kills a chosen target;
• walk – disables a fly-mode.

You also can jump to a certain level with codes. Just type «Open» with code of location in format: «Number of location_Name of location_Name of level». All numbers and names as well as titles of items you can easily discover during your game or in game files. Also, don’t worry about capital letters as codes are not case sensitive.

Trainers and saves

Fans of the game created hundreds of trainers to facilitate the gameplay. Download a trainer, activate it and then open the game. After that, you can press described in instruction buttons to use cheats. There are a lot of trainers with different numbers such as «+6», «+8», «+14» etc. Numbers indicate a number of functions available at a certain trainer. Means you can use 6 cheats in «+6» trainer and 14 cheats in «+14» one.

Programs with low numbers include only essential functions as infinite stamina or ammo, immortality, ability to increase money and experience. Some trainers also include a one-hit kill option and ability to fire without reloading. Big trainers add super speed and jump, multipliers for experience, credits and special points, teleportation, freezing of time and so on.

You also can download saves of other players. They allow you to jump over tough mission or just start at a certain moment. Saves can be helpful if you face bugs or glitches which don’t allow you to finish a particular quest.

Secrets and glitches

Here we collected some interesting features of the game’s mechanics which you can use:

• Easy experience. Try to explore all around. The game mechanics will award you if you are a true explorer. It’s easy to get an experience in Hengsha. Every building there of another door. You should enter it and receive 100 points of experience for each room.
• Easy hacking. Normally you have 2 tries for each panel and terminal. But you can increase this number with a little glitch. Press «Q» before time runs out and then quickly press «H». Your fail will not count so regular 2 tries will remain.
• Easy killing. For that, you should but some implants to increase your hacking skills and strength. Once you did it hack turret or robot, activate it to kill enemies and pick it up. Now you have a powerful weapon which can easily demolish your enemies!
• Easy stealth killing. To kill large groups of guards you should to lure them one by one. Pick up a container or another medium object, throw it near your position and hide there. One enemy from a group will check this place and you can stun him. Repeat it to kill all.
• Easy storage. If you have some time we suggest don’t wasting special points to increase your inventory. Just leave items where you want at a certain location. The game saves this position and you can come back here for your loot later.
• Easy funicular. There is a tough moment in Picus Communications when you should defend from several waves of hostiles. Here just block all doors with big objects so enemies can’t access your position. Do it and just wait for the funicular.

We also have one option which works only in basic version of the game without patches. With it you can receive infinite experience. Your task is to hack a terminal of Adam Jensen at the starting mission after the prologue. Save before hacking and start it. You may want to capture all special nodes and the main node. It will grant you 500 points of experience. But don’t press any key after you have successfully hacked a computer! Don’t complete the hack and don’t press «OK» or something else. Just load your saving mode and begin hacking again. Repeat this several times and for each new try, you will be awarded 500 points of experience. Means it will be 1000 points for the second try, 1500 for third and so on. Don’t forget that it works only in old versions of the game.
