Excalibur… Oh Excalibur… One of the most versatile and balanced Warframes, Excalibur offers pretty much endless opportunities to have fun and enjoy Warframe. He’s a swordsman and channels energy in his battle weapon to murder anyone standing in his way. As one of the options for the first Waframe, this baby is fun to play in even after hundreds of hours. In this article, gamespedition is going to look at a few possible builds for Excalibur – their advantages and how to adapt them to your style of play.

1 . Melee build

Take the Steel Charge aura – increases damage dealt by melee weapons which is a must do, because Excalibur is a swordsman.

Rage mod – you gain energy from a percentage of the damage you receive.

Handspring – quicker recovery from knock downs – because you will get involved in a lot of melee.

Steel Fiber – more armor for your tank’alicious melee fighter Excalibur

Vitality – increases your health and combined with rage offers a neat combination to bump your enemies to the ground and finish them.

Armored agility – adds sprint speed and a decent bump in armor.

Constitution – Knockdown recovery is improved and Warframe ability duration is upped, so with handspring you practically spend no time knocked down.

This still leaves you with three mod positions to fill. Put in more health, armor or speed (whatever you like) or maybe even leave them empty to see how it works. Take care of the weapon, make sure it deals proper damage and you’re ready to go amigo. Go out there and cause havoc.

  1. Never dying Excalibur

Vitality - increases your health. The goal is to prevent death at all costs and beat all enemies.

Steel Fiber – more armor to make Excalibur as close to an invincible warrior as he can possibly get.

Rage mod – you gain energy from a percentage of the damage you receive. So killing you would become harder as you gain energy for attacks while being damaged.

Quick Thinking – uses residual energy as a future emergency buffer to not allow death when you drop to 2 health. Also works on the damage you accidentally may cause to yourself so it allows for more freedom of movements and improvisation.

Primed Flow (or just flow) – it increases your maximum possible energy reserve so you can attack, feel good about it because you have more health, regain energy from rage and have endless amounts of it. Cool, right?

Still some free slots, but we recommend adding the rejuvenation aura as it regenerates both yours and your teammates’ health.

  1. Intense Excal

Steel charge aura – increases melee damage

Handspring – your character gets up from being knocked down faster – useful, because you will get involved in a lot of melee.

Primed Continuity or (regular continuity) – upgrades the Power Duration of abilities so you can cast them with greater force

Intensify – adds Power strength to all of your Warframe’s abilities – formerly known as Focus.

Surging Dash – Augment mod for Excalibur. It’s fun because each hit while slash dashing increases your combo counter.

Vitality - increases your health.

Redirection – adds to your max shield capacity. This mod can be your greatest ally as the bonuses it provides with increased ranks are almost ludicrous.

Streamline – mod increases Power efficiency – reduces the amount of energy that an ability costs.
